An Evening Worthy of the Legacy: The Roberto Clemente Foundation Ambassadors' Reception

This year's Roberto Clemente Foundation Ambassadors' Reception fell on September 11, and the evening carried that weight with intention. As the country paused for the National Day of Service & Remembrance, artist Cody Sabol brought that same spirit to life on canvas, live-painting a 9/11 tribute piece in front of guests as the room gathered at the Heinz History Center.

The evening's honorees reflected exactly what this Foundation stands for. Martin Maldonado received the Oro de Corazón Award, and Al Oliver was presented with the Legacy Award. The Nutting family received the Ambassador Award for Community Impact, the evening's top honor, recognized for their philanthropic leadership and long-standing commitment to this community. We also paused to honor volunteer John Blakeslee, a retired U.S. Army sergeant whose service on and off the field has quietly shaped this Foundation for years.
Larry Richert, the voice of Pittsburgh, emceed the night, and magician Lee Terbosic brought a different kind of wonder to the room between programming. DJ Digital Dave, the Pirates' own DJ, kept the energy going from start to finish.
Members of the Clemente family joined friends, supporters, and honorees for an evening that did more than open Clemente Week; it reminded everyone in the room why this work matters. Every honoree, every dollar raised, and every story told carries the same standard Roberto set decades ago: show up for your community, and let your actions speak.
Thank you to everyone who made this year's Ambassadors' Reception possible, and to the honorees who continue to carry Roberto's legacy forward. Clemente Week continued from here, straight through to Roberto Clemente Day at PNC Park.

The reason most converters ruin an HDRI is that they clip it to 8-bit on the way through and hand you six LDR JPEGs.
HDRI to cubemap keeps the float data, which is the entire point of using an HDRI in the first place.
